Adam Rifkin GIUSEPPE MAKES A MOVIE
Adam Rifkin came Center Stage with Mark Gordon to talk about his new
documentary GIUSEPPE MAKES A MOVIE. The film follows a day in the life of Giuseppe Andrews,
a one-time teen actor who appeared in the films "Independence Day" and
"Detroit Rock City," as he makes a no budget film called "Garbanzo Gas." Giuseppe's films are set in a demented alternate universe that feature an assortment of real-life alcoholics and drug addicts, trash-talking
senior citizens and trailer park residents dressed in cow outfits and
costume-shop wigs, acting out booze-fueled vignettes of severe psychosis
filtered through Giuseppe’s John Waters-meets-Harmony
Korine-meets-Werner Herzog sensibility.
GIUSEPPE MAKES A MOVIE is at once funny and heartfelt.
